Naming kingdoms well
A realm's name usually began as a description of its land or people: "the land of the wolf", "the eagle march", "the old forest". The generator builds names from the same roots as its character tongues, so a dwarven realm's name sounds like dwarven names, and you can tell your players what it means.
The form matters as much as the root. Kingdom of Aldmere, The Aldmere Marches and Free Cities of Aldmere are three very different places. Each result pairs a name with a form, a ruler and the thing every traveller has heard about it.
Questions
What is a good name for a fantasy kingdom?
One with a sense of place, like Stellaria ("land of the star") or Wulfmark ("wolf march"), and a form that hints at its politics: kingdom, dominion, marches or free cities.
